The second annual BizX business expo, hosted by Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County (CBICC) and the Blair County Chamber of Commerce, will be held 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Pegula Ice Arena.
Admission is free and the event, which will feature about 100 business on the concourse leve, is open to the public.
‘At the CBICC, we are proud to once again partner with Blair County to offer this experience to our members,’ Irene Miller Wetzel, vice president of membership engagement at CBICC said in a news release. ‘This is a day of quality conversations between people who are growing their businesses, the strength of their teams, and their personal skill sets. It’s an honor to facilitate that tremendous growth in our area.’
The event gives businesses and community members an opportunity to network and build relationships.
A ticketed keynote luncheon will kick off the day at 11:30 a.m., with an address by longtime Penn State hockey coach, author and professional success coach Joe Battista. He will be available throughout the afternoon to sign copies of his book, ‘The Power of Pragmatic Passion.’
“I’m passionate about helping other people grow and if I can do that here, at home, then I’m thrilled to engage with these Centre County and Blair County business owners and employees,’ Battista said.
