The Centre Region Down Syndrome Society held its 8th annual Buddy Walk at Medlar Field to raise awareness and support those with Down syndrome.
The day included music, games, arts and crafts and more to entertain.
‘The whole thing about today is its a true celebration,’ said Beth Shaha,Buddy Walk coordinator. ‘When you watch those kids dancing, having fun… it lightens everyone’s hearts.’
The event raised more than $35,000 and more than 400 walkers participated. Centre County Report’s Bre’Jon Patrick shares more.
