The Centre Area Transportation Authority board finalized service reductions Monday for six of its 24 routes, WTAJ reported.
CATA concentrated the reductions on routes with relatively light ridership and on routes where riders have other public-transportation options nearby, CATA service manager Eric Bernier told the television station.
The changes are expected to take effect Jan. 8. Explaining the changes, the transit agency has cited cuts in state and federal funding.
A prior post on StateCollege, com, linked below, outlines the service changes.
