Nearly 400 members of the Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County (CBICC) were present at organization’s annual meeting to hear the annual report. It was announced at the event that the CBICC had exceeded its goal of becoming a 1,000 member strong organization by the end of the year, with membership now totalling 1,016. Only 18 other Chambers in Pennsylvania have achieved this membership level.
The presentation highlighted key achievements in 2006, including a balanced budget, growth in the number of businesses in Centre County, and a record number of CBICC events and attendees.
CBICC members in attendance voted for the 2007 Board of Directors. The winners will be announced at a later date. Attendees also voted for the 2006 Awards Nominations. The winner if these awards will be announced on February 22, 2007 at the CBICC Gala.
The Gala will feature Dick Vermeil, the former coack of the Kansas City Chiefs NFL team, as the keynote speaker.
