Centre County has now had 119 cases of COVID-19 since the first was reported on March 20, with two additional positives confirmed on Sunday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
DOH data still lists two COVID-19 deaths in the county, however, Coroner Scott Sayers reported a third on Saturday.
The second and third deaths were both residents of The Oaks at Pleasant Gap, the senior living community confirmed. One, a 96-year-old man, died on Friday at Mount Nittany Medical Center. The other, an 89-year-old woman, died on Saturday at the medical center.
Centre County’s first COVID-19 death was an 89-year-old man who died at the medical center on April 16.
Nursing and personal care homes in the county have had a combined 12 cases among residents and six among employees across three facilities. In addition to resident cases, The Oaks previously confirmed an employee case. Wynwood House in State College and Centre Crest have both confirmed an employee case.
Statewide, 1,295 new cases were reported on Sunday, bringing Pennsylvania’s total to 56,611. The health department also reported 19 new COVID-19 deaths. The commonwealth’s death toll from the virus now stands at 3,707.

Among Centre County’s bordering counties, Huntingdon now has 181 cases, Mifflin has 52, Clinton has 41, Union has 40, Blair has 28 and Clearfield has 25.
Huntingdon saw an increase of 62 new cases on Sunday. The vast majority have been at the state prison there, where 110 inmates have tested positive. Thirty-six of the prison’s employees also have tested positive, though not all are necessarily county residents.
A total of 221,791 patients in Pennsylvania have tested negative for COVID-19, including 1,248 people in Centre County. Across the state, 2,240 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, with 481 requiring a ventilator, as of noon on Sunday.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health does not provide data on recovered patients. According to Johns Hopkins University, the United States has had 1,314,799 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 78,862 deaths and 212,534 recoveries.
