A bridge in rural Centre County will be closed during daytime hours for three days this week as a PennDOT contractor performs core boring.

The single-lane bridge spanning Little Fishing Creek along Hoy Road in Walker Township will be closed from Wednesday, May 8, through Friday, May 10, according to a PennDOT news release. The contractor will reopen the bridge at the end of each workday.

Traffic will will follow a detour using Nittany Valley Drive (Route 64) and Pike Road (Route 445).

The boring is part of a larger project to replace the bridge during the 2025 construction season.
