A Centre County man died after crashing an ATV Sunday evening in Howard Township.
Roger W. Heverly, 59, of Howard Township, crashed the 1988 Honda TRX250R at about 7:40 p.m. on the 600 block of Greens Run Road, state police at Rockview wrote in a crash report.
He was driving “at a speed too fast for the conditions of the road” when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree, a state trooper wrote.
Heverly sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Centre County Coroner’s Office. He was not wearing a helmet or other safety equipment, according to the crash report.
State police and the coroner’s office are continuing to investigate.
Bellefonte and Mount Nittany Medical Center EMS, Howard Volunteer Fire Company and S&R Towing assisted at the scene.
