Beaver Stadium’s concessions offerings are expanding yet again this season.
Mac Street Station will serve loaded mac and cheese dishes through a new stand atop the student section in the south end zone. Timothy Witcher, the chef behind the stand, said he’ll sell his food there through at least the end of the 2022 season.
Food Network fans might recognize Witcher from winning an episode of “Chopped,” the channel’s popular competitive cooking show. He also won an episode of “Rewrapped” by infusing Tastykake treats into his snack dish creation.
The South Jersey-based chef also owns The Wing Kitchen, a chicken and comfort food restaurant that’s expanded to three locations in New Jersey. When he’s not manning the kitchen, Witcher teaches culinary arts at Camden County Technical Schools’ Gloucester campus.
Mac Street Station is the latest offering to join Beaver Stadium’s concourse this year. The stadium began selling beer a few weeks ago, while locally owned Scott’s Roasting opened a stand featuring its “farm-to-stadium” menu at the start of the season.
No. 16 Penn State’s season continues at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday with a White Out matchup against Minnesota. The game will air nationally on ABC.
