Part of a road in College Township will be closed for about three days for completion of a pipe replacement project, according to PennDOT.
West Branch Road will be closed between Woodside Drive and Route 45 starting Monday, Aug. 3. Traffic will be directed to use Woodside Drive to Route 45 during the closure of the approximately 1-mile stretch of rural road.
PennDOT maintenance personnel are performing the pipe replacement work, which is intended to “prevent uncontrolled water flow from damaging the pavement and extend the service life of the road,” according to the department.
While the work is expected to be completed in three days, schedules are subject to change because of weather or other unforeseen factors, PennDOT advised in a news release on Friday.
