Penn State’s Student Programming Association (SPA) announced that comedian John Mulaney will perform at 8 p.m. on April 4 in Eisenhower Auditorium as part of SPA’s Comedy Month.

Mulaney is a comedian, actor, writer, and producer who was nominated for four Emmy Awards for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series between 2009 and 2012 for his work on Saturday Night Live. He also won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics in 2011, and was nominated for two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special in 2013 and 2015.
His 2012 stand-up album ‘New in Town’ debuted at number one on Billboard’s comedy albums chart. The accompanying video special, as well as his well-received 2015 special ‘The Comeback Kid’ are both streaming on Netflix.
Mulaney has performed on late-night shows including “Conan,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” and “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” His sitcom ‘Mulaney’ aired from October 2014 to February 2015 on Fox.
He and fellow comedian Nick Kroll debuted their off-Broadway show ‘Oh, Hello,’ based on characters they created for Kroll’s Comedy Central show, in December and have since taken it on a national tour.
