PennDot is warning motorists using University Drive to expect short delays. Work crews will be repairing the decking on the bridge that spans College Ave.
The work will continue from Friday, April 26 though Friday, May 3. Repair crews will be active during the morning rush hour. Work will be underway between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.
The bridge’s center lane will be closed but one lane of traffic will get by in each direction.
The repairs will be underway during an especially busy time with Penn State students taking final exams and with people visiting for graduation ceremonies. Drivers may want to give themselves some extra travel time or plan alternate routes.
PennDot is urging drivers to follow official detour signs and obey posted speed limits.
