OnwardState.com and StateCollege.com will host a joint ‘tweet-up’ from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Campus Candy, 346 E. College Ave. in downtown State College.
The event, free and open to the public, is a chance for online readers to meet and talk with one another — and with contributors to both websites. Campus Candy is offering a 30 percent discount to all attendees, and free candy or frozen yogurt to the first 100 people who show up.
A ‘tweet-up’ — a Twitter term — is an informal gathering where people who’ve ‘met’ one another on Twitter can meet and talk face-to-face. Thursday’s event certainly is not limited to Twitter users, though.
Earlier this week, OnwardState.com and StateCollege.com announced a strategic partnership. The websites have presences on Twitter at @OnwardState, @StateCollegecom, @OnwardStateRSS and @SCNewsDesk.
