Growing from humble origins in 1993 when volunteers came together to establish an affordable festival to showcase local artists, the People’s Choice Festival has grown to be another huge attraction in the region on the same weekend as the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts.
The two festivals aren’t at odds, but together help make Central PA a premier destination for families and festival fans every mid-July.
People’s Choice was buzzing with another big crowd on Friday at the PA Military Museum grounds in Boalsburg
Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy 200 vendors, dozens of food options, 40 bands and many activities for kids and families. Events continue Saturday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and noon-5 p.m. on Sunday.
