Penn State Athletics and Transportation Services are advising Nittany Lion wrestling fans to arrive early for Friday’s 7 p.m. dual meet against Michigan at the Bryce Jordan Center.
‘With Penn State faculty, staff and students exiting campus during the same time frame that wrestling attendees will be arriving, heavy traffic should be expected on and near campus between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday evening,’ a news release from Penn State Athletics said.
Event parking areas will open at 5 p.m. and Jordan Center gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
‘Fans are strongly recommended to arrive early for the event,’ the news release said.
In addition to the regular event parking areas of Jordan East, Stadium West and Porter North, event parking will be available at the East and Eisenhower parking decks. Those who park in the decks will be able to use a free pre- and post-meet shuttle that will run between the BJC and the East Deck.
The pre-event shuttle will board between the East Deck and Food Science Building. The post-event shuttle will board near Bryce Jordan Center Gate A and fans will be permitted to wait inside the Gate A doors until the shuttle arrives.
All parking will be $5, with no fee for vehicles with a valid wrestling parking voucher or a Penn State parking permit.
