Upwards of 20 federal agents, at least some from the NASA Office of Inspector General, have been at work inside a Ferguson Township home on Setter Run Lane since early Wednesday morning.
NASA Agents are also at the office of PolyK Technologies on Old Gatesburg Road. Online records show that PolyK Technologies has worked with NASA in the past, including contracts to develop space batteries and capacitors for aerospace electronics.
Little information is currently available about why the agents seem to be searching the two locations, or how many agencies are involved. Neighbors say that agents have been on scene at the house since at least 9:30 a.m.
Ferguson Township Police Chief Dianne Conrad confirms the existence of a federal detail, but deferred comment to NASA agents.
Renee Juhans with the NASA Office of the Inspector General declined comment, and did not say if or when additional information might be available. Multiple agents at the house and the PolyK Technologies office declined to comment.

PolyK Technologies also operates a laboratory at a Pine Hall Road address near the office on Old Gatesburg Road, but no one was at the lab on Wednesday afternoon. A sign on the door listed contacted information for Shihai Zhang, the Chief Technology Officer of PolyK Technologies, but attempts to contact Zhang for comment were unsuccessful.
County records show that Zhang is also the owner of the Setter Run Lane house being searched by federal agents. Some websites also list the Setter Run Lane address as the address for PolyK Technologies. The Pennsylvania Department of State lists the businesses\’ address as 1981 Pine Hall Road, but also shows that the business filed a change of address in 2013.
