A female college student walked into a scary situation on Tuesday evening.
She returned to her home on the 800 block on South Pugh Street and found an intruder inside the house.
According to the State College Police Department, the female entered her house at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 5 after spending time out of town.
When she tried to call the police, the intruder allegedly attempted to grab her phone from her. He then fled on foot southbound on Pugh Street.
‘It seemed the male had been at the residence for a longer period of time as the female discovered that her bed, underwear, and other clothing items were tampered with,’ police said. ‘It’s suspected the suspect had entered the house through an unlocked window.’
The female described the intruder as a skinny white male between 22 and 23 years old weighing 130 to 140 pounds. He has dirty blonde or light brown hair that was short and wavy with no facial hair. She said that he has green or blue eyes and wasn’t wearing glasses. As for clothing, the male was wearing a tan or green ‘sweatshirt type coat’ that zipped up, a t-shirt, blue jeans, and black dancer shoes. He carried a Swiss Army type black backpack with a red cross on it, according to police.
