Just a few short weeks ago, a woman was found murdered in her Ferguson Township home, the victim of a gunshot wound to the head.
And while police don’t believe this latest incident is related to the murder of 60-year-old Jean Tuggy, they did find another dead woman in the township at 3:20 a.m. today.
According to a press release from the police department, they were called to the 500-block of Plainfield Road when a passerby found a woman’s body lying on the side of the road. Police determined that the woman was dead, and the cause of death is currently unknown.
‘There we no obvious signs of trauma,’ police said. ‘It appears as though the woman had been there a few hours.’
An autopsy will take place on Monday and the police department is investigating the death in conjunction with the Centre County Coroner’s Office.
