The National Weather Service has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for east central Centre County.
The advisory will remain in effect until 2 p.m.
Thunderstorms and heavy downpours are likely this afternoon and tonight.
The rain could cause streams to run out of their banks leading to minor flooding in low lying and flood prone areas.
Although some flooding is possible no significant property damage is expected.
