It has been a relatively wet season for the Nittany Lions, and this weekend’s final game will be no different. More than two inches of rain is expected on Saturday, though it is currently predicted to begin after the game.
Due to the expected rain, grass fields located near the stadium may see some parking changes and reductions, according to the University. Fans are asked to be cooperative, and to arrive early and plan ahead for the possible changes.
Recreational vehicles that normally park in the Brown lot off Park Avenue and other lots may be directed to alternate parking on Saturday. Cars that normally park in the Blue lot off Porter Road will likely be moved back in the lot. Other areas may also be affected.
Other parking alternatives include a $2 Game Day Shuttle run by Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA). The shuttle provides stadium access from points downtown, and operates every 10 minutes until kickoff beginning at 9 a.m. The bus runs every 20 minutes continuously during the game and for one hour afterwards. Visit their Web site for more information.
A free shuttle service is also being offered by the Penn Stater Conference Center and Hotel, located in Innovation Park. There are approximately 900 parking spaces available and the shuttle will run between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
