One of Penn State basketball’s most dynamic players in recent history seems to finally have found a home. Tim Frazier has signed a guaranteed two-year, $4.1 million deal to return to the New Orleans Pelicans, according to multiple reports.

The former Nittany Lion captain joined the Pelicans in the middle of last season after being waived by the Portland Trailblazers. Originally signing just a 10-day contract, Frazier made an immediate impact in New Orleans, earning him a deal for the rest of the season. The guard seemed to click much better with the Pelicans, getting significantly more playing time, and contributing much more — from 1.5 points and 1.2 assists per game with the Blazers, to 13.1 points and 7.5 assists per game in 16 games with New Orleans.

Frazier was a member of Penn State’s last NCAA tournament team in 2010-2011 and a centerpiece of the team during his time in Happy Valley. He earned first team All-Big Ten honors during for his performance in the 2011-2012 season, and was a third team All-Big Ten selection for the 2013-2014 season.

Frazier is the only Penn Stater currently in the NBA.
