Alpha Fire Company firefighters responded to a fourth-floor fire at Park Hill Apartments, 478 E. Beaver Ave., shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday, the company reported.
No one was reported to be injured.
‘Crews were able to quickly knock down the fire and contain it to the apartment of origin,’ the Alphas reported on their website. An investigation by the Centre Region fire marshal’s office is continuing.
WJAC reported that the fire apparently originated in a kitchen and is believed to be accidental. The Park Hill building was evacuated for about an hour, according to the TV station.
