The National Weather Service has put a winter weather advisory into effect until 10 a.m. Monday. It’s in place for much of central Pennsylvania, including State College, Harrisburg and Clearfield.
Outlined on AccuWeather.com, the advisory warns that snow, sleet and freezing rain are expected. One to three inches of snow and sleet may fall in many parts of the region, with ice accumulations to range between one tenth and one quarter of an inch, according to the advisory.
The precipitation is expected to turn into primarily freezing rain or sleet after midnight, it notes. And it also warns that untreated roads will be covered with snow or ice. Slippery and limited-visibility conditions are forecast.
