You may want to stock up on rock salt and snow scrapers. The National Weather Service has posted a winter weather advisory for the State College area.
A wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow is expected to start this afternoon. The weather advisory remains in effect until 7 a.m. tomorrow morning.
Icing could make some roads slippery so be careful driving as we head into the evening hours. An accumulation of slushy snow is possible. For continuing updates be sure to watch the AccuWeather forecast on the StateCollege.com home page.
