Judge William Morgan approved The Second Mile’s request to sell its former headquarters building at 1402 S. Atherton St.
According to an order filed in Centre County Court Wednesday, the charity, founded by Jerry Sandusky in 1977, can sell the property on the terms it agreed to with A.G.L. 2 Limited Partnership.
Morgan’s ruling requires proceeds from the sale to be held until all pending civil suits filed by Sandusky’s victims against The Second Mile are resolved or until the court orders otherwise.
Last week, The Second Mile filed for permission to transfer $200,000 in assets to another charity so three of its youth programs can continue this spring.
