Passing lanes will be closed and rolling slow-downs will again be in place Friday near the Toftrees-Woodycrest exit in both directions of Interstate 99, according to PennDOT.
This will be the second time this month that traffic restrictions will be in place as part of the project to ease congestion on Waddle Road. Crews will be relocating utilities over I-99 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Short delays are likely.
The Waddle Road project is expected to span the 2016 and 2017 construction seasons. Work for the $14.1 million project will include construction of a new, wider Waddle Road bridge spanning I-99/Route 322 in Patton Township, addition of a turn lane on the I-99/Route 322 westbound off-ramp and addition of turning lanes at the Colonnade Boulevard-Waddle Road intersection.
Bike lanes on Waddle Road from Colonnade Boulevard to Toftrees Avenue also will be added and the road will be widened from Strouse Avenue to Toftrees Avenue.
