A newer entry into what has become Festival Weekend in Central PA, Lemont Fest kicked off its second year Friday afternoon in College Township village.
Offering a relaxed atmosphere in a neighborhood setting, Lemont Fest provides a somewhat different kind of celebration than what you may find in State College for the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts or Boalsburg for the People’s Choice Festival. But like those festivals, you’ll find local art, live music and a variety of foods.
Inside the historic Grain Elevator on Mount Nittany Road artists have their work on display and for sale. Outside on the Village Green are more vendors, food choices and musical acts.
Antique cars will be on display, and the festival will feature other activities for kids and adults through the weekend, including speeder rides hosted by the Bellefonte Historic Railroad Society and art activities with Art Alliance.
Lemont Fest continues Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
