Fellow citizens, the most important thing we can do to combat the current administration’s disastrous actions is to help change Congress by voting to change our local representatives. Among the many issues they refuse to address is climate change.

Those who deny irrefutable science-based facts of human-induced climate change have much to answer for. Whatever your political affiliation, you can help by voting out Tom Marino, who denies the major cause of global warming. His opponent, Marc Friedenberg, will work toward commonsense solutions that will help our planet and our economy.

Consider the following: Over 120 years ago Swedish scientist Svante Arrhenius discovered that adding carbon dioxide and other gases to the atmosphere leads to retaining more of the sun’s heat. That never-refuted finding is the basis of global warming.

For years we have unintentionally conducted a gigantic experiment to test Arrhenius’s discovery by pumping massive amounts of CO2 into the air. As predicted, earth’s atmosphere has warmed, and continues to do so at an increasing rate as we continue to pump out CO2 by burning coal, oil and gas for most of our energy.

All authoritative scientific bodies around the world have confirmed this warming. We must stop this “experiment” if we want a livable future.

We know what needs to be done, but the answer is no longer science alone. We need representatives who value facts and have the political courage to address our problems. You can help by voting for Marc Friedenberg for US Congress.
