Man Killed in Crash on I-80 in Centre County

A 64-year-old man died after a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Interstate 80 in Centre County, according to state police.

Douglas W. Huling, 64, of Lycoming County, was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 pickup truck near mile marker 151 of I-80 westbound in Boggs Township at 7:08 a.m. when for unknown reasons he abruptly swerved toward the median, police wrote in a crash report.

The truck the hit an embankment off the left shoulder of the road and rolled over several times. Huling, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected through the sun roof and sustained fatal injuries.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Centre County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday, Chief Deputy Coroner John D. Kubalak said.

The crash remains under investigation by state police and the coroner’s office.
