Update 2:20 p.m.: The National Weather Service has posted a Special Weather Statement for the State College area. A line of powerful thunderstorms is moving through the region. Wind gusts up to 45 mph are possible along with pea-sized hail.
Dangerous lightning is associated with these storms. You should stay inside until the storms have passed.
The storms are moving southeast at 45 mph.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Centre County.
The warning will remain in effect until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Radar shows a powerful thunderstorm is moving east at 35 mph. This storm is capable of producing winds in excess of 60 mph.
Residents in State College, Pleasant Gap, Port Matilda, Potters Mills, Pine Grove Mills, Boalsburg, Bellefonte and surrounding areas are being urged to keep an eye on this storm. It’s a good idea to move inside until the storm passes.
