Mount Nittany Health will build a new corporate services building in Bellefonte, the health system announced Wednesday.
The new 20,000 square foot facility, to be located at 925 E. Bishop St., will bring together 150 employees from non-clinical department in a single building. The new building is part of Mount Nittany’s ‘ongoing commitment to optimizing efficiency of services while controlling costs,’ according to an announcement from the health system.
Renovation and construction is scheduled to begin in October and finish in December. New features will include a town square space, fitness area and video conferencing-equipped conference rooms.
The building will be Mount Nittany’s third Bellefonte facility. The system has internal medicine and pediatrics on Medical Park Lane, about a half mile from the new Bishop Street location.
