Local Soldier: State College’s own Michael Sanchez is heading to Iraq today with the 298th Maintenance Company, of the 378th Combat Service Support Battalion, the Centre Daily Times reported.
“I’m looking forward to it,” Sanchez told the CDT. “I’m pretty excited to get into a new experience.”

Photographer Charges: District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller yesterday filed a motion in the Pennsylvania Superior Court to discontinue the appeal filed last year from the case of Michael Felletter.
Felletter is the Collegian photographer who was charged with failure to disperse and disorderly conduct during the downtown riot that followed the Ohio State football game in 2008.
False report: Corl Lynn Keith, who told police she had been raped before admitting that wasn’t true, is now facing two misdemeanor charges of making false report to police, the Centre Daily Times reported.
