Early this morning, Alpha Fire Co. members responded to a vehicle accident at the 3300 Block of North Atherton Street.  Reports from police and EMS workers told officials that entrapment was involved and units were dispatched shortly after 2:30 a.m.

The accident left one vehicle crashed head on into the street’s barrier.

The trapped passenger in the vehicle was extricated in approximately 13 minutes, and EMS workers determined that a helicopter was not necessary and LifeFlight was taken off stand-by.  The patient was then taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center by Centre LifeLink EMS.
