The Altoona Mirror is reporting that Joe Paterno recently shed some light about his and the Nittany Lions’ future when speaking with a recruit.
Virginia Prep defensive lineman Chimaeze Okoli told Rivals.com that Paterno said he will be coaching the football team for at least two more years and that his successor will come from the current coaching staff. Paterno has stated in the past that he would like his successor to be promoted from within, but that has never before been promised.
Paterno is under contract through the 2008 season. (More info)
