Penn State Alumni Can Stay In The Dorms During Arts Fest

Calling all alumni: ever had a burning desire to stay in the dorms again? If so, here is your chance.

As part of the Alumni Association’s Arts Festival Alumni Weekend, alumni can rent a room in West Halls, right in the midst of the Arts Fest route.

At $55 per night for a single room and $50 per night, per person, for a double ($100 per night for the room), you will receive a luxurious twin bed, a hot Waring commons breakfast, and basic overnight amenities (linen, blanket, towel, wash cloth, and a bar of soap).

To make your stay in the dorms as realistic as possible, there is no air conditioning in West Halls and only a limited number of fans available for rent. The Alumni Association strongly suggests you bring your own.

This opportunity is part of a host of activities sponsored by the Alumni Association during the July 8-12 Arts Festival weekend. Those who register can get an inside look at the Making of the Arts Festival and attend a number of organized events.

On Saturday, alumni can enjoy Creamery ice cream, including the newly announced Birthday Cake flavor, at an alumni social featuring live music from The Feats of Strength.

Those lodging in West Halls get a few perks including a T-shirt, an Arts Festival Button, a parking permit and admission to some popular Penn State attractions: you can relax by the McCoy outdoor pool, go ice skating at Pegula Ice Arena, or participate in guided tours of The Arboretum, Old Main Bell Tower, and more.
