Penn State fans traveled well to Indianapolis and looks like they’ll travel even better to Pasadena.

According to a tweet by Jeff Garner, Penn State’s assistant AD in charge of ticketing sales, Penn State’s 20,000 ticket allotment for the Rose Bowl has already sold out. The Rose Bowl is holding a public ticket sale for the game Tuesday. [Update: According to the Rose Bowl, its official sale through Ticketmaster sold out in about one hour on Tuesday.]

The student ticket sale remains on for 8 a.m. on Saturday at the Bryce Jordan Center.

As far as getting tickets on the secondary market, be prepared to spend a chunk of change. Most secondary market websites have tickets listed over $200 at the lowest, although it’s not unreasonable to expect that number to dip as time goes along.

This will be the second major road trip of the season for Penn State after a thrilling comeback win over Wisconsin last weekend in Indianapolis for the Big Ten title.

The crowd of just over 65,000 at Lucas Oli Stadium was around 60-40 in favor of Nittany Lion fans. While the Penn State faithful might be in the minority come Jan. 2, if early ticket sales are any indication they will still be well represented at one of the nation’s most historic stadiums.
