Nittany Lion safety Adrian Amos has accepted an invitation to the NFL Combine according to Penn State.

Amos is the third former Nittany Lion to publicly accept an invitation to the event that takes place in late February.

Amos will join placekicker Sam Ficken as well as offensive tackle Donovan Smith at the combine. Having starting in 38 games during his career (including 37 consecutive games), Amos was a strong and longtime fixture in the Nittany Lion secondary. He registered a tie for his season high in tackles in Penn State’s overtime victory against Boston College with seven.

In 2014 Amos was credited with 29 solo tackles and three interceptions. The three takeaways were a career high for the Maryland native who saw time at both safety and cornerback during his career.

Penn State had three players participate in the 2013-14 NFL Combine last year. With the fate of Mike Hull, Deion Barnes and several other Nittany Lions still unknown, it seems likely that last year’s total will be surpassed by at least one player.

Amos recently participated in the Senior Bowl, one of the final chances for players to work with coaches and play against top talent before finally entering the draft.

CBS Sports has listed the following Nittany Lions and their potential draft stock heading into the combine.

Donovan Smith* — No. 12 OT, Round 3-4

Jesse James* — No. 5 TE, Round 3-4

Mike Hull — No. 4 ILB, Round 4

Miles Dieffenbach — No. 11 OG, Round 5-6
