Penn State back-up defensive end Jordan Kerner was cited Monday for purchase, consumption, possession and transportation of an alcoholic beverage, university police records show.

The incident occurred early Sunday morning in Pollock Commons, according to police.

It’s the second alcohol-related offense by Kerner in four months, court documents show. He also was cited with purchasing alcohol as a minor, a summary offense, back in March, according to court documents. Then, the document shows Kerner paid $515 in various court-related fees and fines.

Kerner, 6-foot-4, 239 pounds, from Fairview Pa., sat out 2011 while taking a redshirt. He was not listed on coach Bill O’Brien’s post-spring depth chart.
