Penn State’s Blue White weekend is off to a good star as James Franklin and staff have landed the services of North Stafford, Va., four-star offensive tackle Nana Asiedu.
Asiedu verbally committed on Saturday while on campus for an unofficial visit, making the decision public via Twitter. On the scales Asiedu comes in at 6-foot-6, 265-pound junior is the No. 10 offensive tackle prospect in the country according to the 247Sports’ Composite rankings.
Penn State’s latest recruiting victory comes against a host of well known programs with Georgia, Clemson, and Auburn in the final mix before Asiedu finally made the call. According to multiple recruiting services Clemson was Penn State’s biggest competition on the recruiting trail to land his services.
The Nittany Lions’ Class of 2018 is now up to 12 members and ranks No. 2 in the country.
Saturday’s news comes days after four-star offensive tackle Chris Bleich decomitted from the Nittany Lions.
