Penn State Football: Gesicki Announces Return For 2017 Season

Penn State tight end Mike Gesicki announced on Thursday evening that his time in Happy Valley isn’t up just yet. The junior will return for his senior season as a Nittany Lions after a career year in 2016.

This season Gesicki hauled in 47-catches for 668 yards and four touchdowns. The tight end setting a single-season record for receptions by his position at Penn State. The New Jersey native was also a key asset in pass protection all year and his touchdown reception in the Big Ten title game was essential to Penn State’s eventual come from behind victory.

Gesicki will be joined by redshirt freshman Danny Dalton who suffered a season ending injury prior to the start of the season.
