James Franklin will throw out the first pitch at the July 30th Phillies-Braves game as part of he Philies “THON Night” to help raise money for Penn State’s student-run dance marathon.
Franklin will be making his second appearance at the mound after tossing a speedy strike at Yankee Stadium earlier this year.
Given the Phillies struggles this season it’s entirely possible Franklin could be one of the best to take the mound in a Philadelphia uniform this year.
Seating will be located in the following areas:
- Outfield (section 104) at $38 per ticket
- Pavilion (section 202) at $30 per ticket
- Pavilion Deck (section 302) at $20 per ticket
Net proceeds from ticket sales through this particular offer will go to THON. You can see details here.
Since 1977, THON has raised over $114 million to benefit the Four Diamonds at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. The program’s year-long fundraising effort culminates with a 46-hour, no-sitting, dance marathon at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The 2015 event raised over $13 million for pediatric cancer support and research.
