James Franklin didn’t have to worry about tossing out an embarrassing first pitch on Tuesday night as he slammed a heater right in over the plate.
In his first trip back to Yankee Stadium since Penn State’s 31-30 victory over Boston College in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl, Franklin met with various Yankee officials including manager Joe Girardi. By the time Franklin took the mound in front of a modest Yankee crowd he was ready to go.
With his first pitch duties out of the way Franklin will now turn his public focus to Penn State’s Coaches Caravan that will last nearly the entire month of May with 12 stops across the region.
