Former Penn State commit Lavert Hill will announce his school of choice on National Signing Day on February 3rd he stated on Twitter this morning. The news means Hill will no longer take his final official visit of the recruiting process and focus on just three schools come decision day, Penn State, Michigan and Michigan State.
A four star cornerback prospect out of Detroit has long been a target of James Franklin and his staff. Just two weeks ago the potential future Nittany Lion took his official visit to Penn State and was even introduced during the first intermission of Penn State hockey’s win over Wisconsin.
Hill will play for the West team at the US Army All-American Bowl.
What happens next, probably not the surprise Penn State fans are hoping for.
‘Penn State fired its final bullet by getting Hill on campus for an improbably official visit two weekends back, but the hill to get him back in the class still seems too steep to climb,’ Greg Pickel of PennLive says. ‘Hill is destined to either play with his brother at Michigan or blaze his own path at Michigan State, and a return to the Lions’ class of 2016 would be one of the biggest stunners in this recruiting cycle.’
