After nearly three months without a commitment on the recruiting trail, Penn State’s momentum appears to be back in full swing as the Nittany Lions landed three-star receiver Cameron Sullivan-Brown on Friday.

Sullivan-Brown is rated the top receiving prospect in the state of Maryland by the 247 Network’s composite rankings. He joins Sean Clifford as the only true offensive weapons in the recruiting class, which includes Clifford at quarterback and three more future Nittany Lions along the offensive front.

On the scales Sullivan-Brown comes in at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds. He had offers from programs such as Maryland, Rutgers, Wisconsin and Stanford among others.

The Friday verbal commitment makes it four commitments in the past 10 days for James Franklin and his staff, Penn State is coming off a recruiting trail upset just two days ago as safety Derrek Pitts tabbed the Nittany Lions instead of the heavily favored in-state West Virginia Mountaineers. Both players join linebacker Brelin Faison-Walden and safety Jonathan Sutherland in the recent recruiting surge.

Penn State’s 2017 haul is currently 12 players deep and nationally ranked 22nd by the 247 Network and fifth best in the Big Ten by the same outlet.
