With preseason workouts just around the corner, Penn State released all of the need-to-know information about the newest Nittany Lions’ heights, weights and numbers heading into camp.
While it may not be as exciting as naming a starting quarterback or finally watching live action on the field, it’s just another step towards the 2016 season finally getting here and an offseason of speculation turning into a few months of reality.
The entire freshmen class can be viewed below, but here are a few highlights of note.
- Running back Miles Sanders comes in at 5-11, 195 pounds. That’s compared to Saquon Barkley who measures at 5-11, 223 pounds. Barkley was 210 at this time last year as a freshman.
- Tight end Danny Dalton is 6-4, 247 that makes him the heaviest skill position freshman in the class.
- Five-star guard Michal Menet comes in at 6-4, 296 pounds.
