Penn State’s class of 2016 picked up its latest member as Marshfield, Mass tight end Danny Dalton committed to the Nittany Lions early Saturday afternoon.

Dalton had previously been committed to Boston College before re-opening his recruitment. He had visited Penn State at least twice prior to making the call. His commitment to Penn State is the seventh of the 2016 class and the first tight end.

The 6-foot-5, 230 pound prospect is a three-star prospect across all recruiting outlets and caught 56 passes for 765 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior. He is ranked as the 212nd best player in the class of 2016 by the 247 Network, and is listed as the sixth best tight end and best player in Massachusetts in his class.

The Lions now have commitments from prospects at quarterback, running back, tight end, offensive line, defensive back and cornerback.
