Saquon Barkley on Thursday afternoon added power cleaning 405 pounds to his list of athletic feats you could not complete.

The lift, which Barkley did with what appears to be an unsettling amount of ease, brings us back to a quote head coach James Franklin had about his star running back during the 2016 season, showcasing Barkley’s physical attributes.

“It’s ‘Welcome to college football,’ and you’re Miles Sanders, the No. 1 running back in the country. You show up, and Saquon Barkley is warming up with your [weight-room maximums].”

At 223 pounds Barkley would qualify for the 105 kg weight class in the Olympics. The world record in that weight category sits at 522 pounds. But considering that record was set Ruslan Nurudinov, a name that carries extra muscle all on its own, Barkley isn’t all that far off at the end of the day.
