Penn State Greeks Plan Family-Geared Halloween Attractions

Penn State’s Greek organizations have planned a community ‘Greek-or-Treat’ event, scheduled for Sunday and geared toward local families.

Fraternity houses in the Highlands neighborhood of State College and on the University Park campus will host free attractions ranging from haunted houses and crafts to face-painting and games, the university announced. Candy, food and prizes will be available, as well.

Parents and their children are invited to participate in the inaugural event, put on by the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, Multicultural Greek Council and National Pan-Hellenic Council. Activities will be under way from 3 to 6 p.m.

Walking guides and other information will be available at a booth at Fraternity Row and Fairmount Avenue, in the Highlands neighborhood, according to Penn State. A shuttle will be on hand to move people between the neighborhood and the fraternities on campus.
