Penn State and its intercollegiate-athletics department are ready to make ‘a significant gift and facility announcement’ on Friday, the university reported Thursday.
An 11:30 a.m. press conference has been scheduled at the Nittany Lion Inn.
Also at the inn, the university’s regular trustees meeting is expected to run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Penn State President Graham Spanier and athletics Director Tim Curley will be at the 11:30 a.m. press conference, according to a university-issued advisory.
The Hockey News — among numerous other outlets — has reported that Penn State is set to announce Friday the arrival of Division I men’s hockey on campus.
