Penn State was ranked the best campus in the Big Ten according to Business Insider’s top 20 list for 2015.
Business Insider analyzed 11 campus-related categories from The Princeton Review’s 2016 college rankings to determine which colleges have the best overall campuses.
Each school was awarded a certain amount of points based on where it placed in the following Princeton Review lists:
- Best College Library
- Great Financial Aid
- Best Career Services
- Best Health Services
- Best Campus Food
- Best College Dorms
- Most Beautiful Campus
- Easiest Campus to Get Around
- Best Quality of Life
- Town-Gown Relations are Great
- College City Gets High Marks
Penn State ranked No. 16 overall (down from No. 8 last year) and was the only Big Ten school in the top 20. The list included everything from Ivy league schools to small liberal arts colleges.
Business Insider noted: “The University Park campus, which accommodates one of the largest student bodies in America and sprawls about 5,500 acres, is also home to the school’s top-ranking library.” The picture in the article aptly featured some construction in the background.
