Penn State and Iowa will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 12 in Iowa City, the conference announced on Monday. The television network designation will be determined Oct. 6.

The Nittany Lions are 16-12 all-time against Iowa, including victories in the last five meetings. Last season, the Hawkeyes jumped out to a 12-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Nittany Lions bounced back for a 30-24 win in Beaver Stadium. Trace McSorley threw one touchdown pass to Pat Freiermuth and ran for another, while Yetur Gross-Matos led the defensive effort with nine tackles, including 4.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks.

The last time Penn State visited Kinnick Stadium, the Nittany Lions collected a thrilling 21-19 come-from-behind win. Trace McSorley hit Juwan Johnson on a 7-yard touchdown pass as time expired to claim the win for the Nittany Lions. Saquon Barkley had a record-breaking evening with 211 rushing yards and a program-best 358 all-purpose yards.

The Nittany Lions’ remaining home schedule includes Big Ten games against Purdue (Oct. 5; noon – Homecoming), Michigan (Oct. 19 – Penn State White Out), Indiana (Nov. 15) and Rutgers (Nov. 30 – Senior Day).
